GUIDED TOURS OF LAKE GARDA
Option 1 : the southern part of Veronese shore Come and see Lake Garda (Veronese shore) with stops in some tipical places such as Lazise and Bardolino, charming and picturesque medieval villages still surrounded by their original walls, or Peschiera, the famous Venetian and Austrian Fortess.
Lazise: is a town situated on the eastern shore of Lake Garda. Its name derives from the Latin "lacus" that means lacustrine village. Lazise in fact was originally a group of stilt houses beyond that Roman village and market. The tour includes the visit of the romanesque Church of Saint Nicoḷ, dating back to the twelfth century with its frescoes by Giotto's school, the Venetian Custom house (XVI century)built to control the trade, the old walls and the castel built by Scaligeri Family during the 13th and 14th century.
Bardolino: the tour includes the visit of the romanesque San Severo Church with its paintings dating back to IX- XII centuries, the neoclassic parish, the rest of the old city walls with its medieval turrets and (to finish) Matteotti Square with its beautiful view.

Option 2 : the tour may include the nothern part of Lake Garda with the visit of Malcesine, the medieval village still dominated by the Scaligero Castel. Etruscan tombs have been found within the castle walls. Behind Malcesine rises the 1750 m-high Monte Baldo, reachable through cableway, very interesting for its unique flora and splendid panorama
"Option 2" itinerary can be also considered as the second part of a full day tour.
